【摘要】:1.1Thereferenceradiographsprovidedintheadjuncttothisstandardillustratevarioustypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesoccurringinthin-wallsteelinvestmentcastings.Useofthisstandardforthespecificationorgradingofcastingsrequiresprocurementoftheadjunctreferenceradiographswhichillustratethediscontinuitytypesandseveritylevels.Theyareintendedtoprovidethefollowing:1.1.1Aguideenablingrecognitionofthin-wallsteelcastingdiscontinuitiesandtheirdifferentiationbothastotypeanddegreethroughradiographicexamination.1.1.2Exampleradiographicillustrationsofdiscontinuitiesandanomenclatureforreferenceinacceptancestandards,specificationsanddrawings.1.2Twoillustrationcategoriesarecoveredasfollows:1.2.1GradedSixcommondiscontinuitytypeseachillustratedineightdegreesofprogressivelyincreasingseverity.1.2.2UngradedTwelvesingleillustrationsofadditionaldiscontinuitytypesandofpatternsandimperfectionsnotgenerallyregardedasdiscontinuities.1.3Thereferenceradiographsweredevelopedforcastingsectionsupto1in.[25.4mm]inthickness.1.4Thisdocumentmaybeusedwherethereisnootherapplicabledocumentexistingorforothermaterialthicknessesforwhichitisfoundtobeapplicableandforwhichagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandmanufacturer.Note1Thesetofreferenceradiographs,producedwithX-raysintherangefrom130to250kVp,consistof16plates(81/2by11in.[216by279mm])ina93/4by111/2-in.[248by292-mm]ringbinder.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
