【摘要】:Useofthisguide,supplementaltotheuseofproperlydesignedandmaintainedequipmentandeffectivemanagementoftheproductionunitprocess,isexpectedtominimizecostsandproductloss.Trainingofoperationalpersonnelisessential.Eachofthetopicsstatedinthisguideshouldbeaddressedintheproducersprogramoftrainingforoperatorsandsupervisorstoensurethateachindividualisawareofthemandconsciouslyemploysthemwherevertheneedoropportunityexists.1.1Thisguideisrecommendedforusebyallproducersoffoodinretortpouches.Adherencetothisguidewillhelppreventdamagetothepouchesbypreventingandavoidingknowncausesofdamagethatoccurintheprocessingenvironment.1.2ThisguideforflexibleretortfoodpouchesisbasedontherecommendationsofataskforcecreatedbytheDepartmentoftheArmyin1986.ThepurposeofthetaskforcewastodeterminethepossiblecausesofholesinpouchesoffoodproductproducedforoperationalrationsfortheDepartmentofDefenseatthattime.Membersofthetaskforcevisitedseveralfoodprocessorstoobserveandevaluatemanufacturingmethodscommonlybeingusedforprocessingretortpouches.Therecommendationsinthisguideshouldbeusefulasthebasisforgoodmanufacturingpracticesandemployeetrainingprogramsusedbyfoodpouchprocessors.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcernsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
