【摘要】:ThispartofISO9241providesconditionalrecommendationsformenususedinuser-computerdialoguestoaccomplishtypicalofficetasks.Therecommendationscovermenuspresentedbyvarioustechniquesincludingwindowing,panels,buttons,fields,etc.Theserecommendationscanbeutilizedthroughoutthedesignprocess(e.g.,asguidancefordesignersduringdesign,asabasisforheuristicevaluation,asguidanceforusabilitytesting).Interfacedesigndependsuponthetask,theuser,theenvironment,andtheavailabletechnology.Consequently,ISO9241-14cannotbeappliedwithoutaknowledgeofthedesignandusecontextoftheinterfaceanditisnotintendedtobeusedasaprescriptivesetofrulestobeappliedintheirentirety.Rather,itassumesthatthedesignerhasproperinformationavailableconcerningtaskanduserrequirementsandunderstandstheuseofavailabletechnology(thismayrequireconsultationwithaqualifiedergonomicsprofessionalaswellasempiricaltestingwithrealusers).AlthoughthisisanInternationalStandard,someoftheconditionalrecommendationsarebasedonLatin-basedlanguageusageandmaynotapply,ormayneedtobemodified,forusewithadifferentlanguage.Forexample,inright-to-leftlanguagesthoseconditionalrecommendationsorientedtowardsleft-to-rightreadingmayneedtobemodifiedandadapted.Inapplyingthoseconditionalrecommendationsthatassumeaspecificlanguagebase(e.g.,alphabeticorderingofmenuoptions,compoundtitles),careshouldbetakenconcerningtheintentofthestandardwhentranslationisrequiredtoadifferentlanguage.Therecommendationsrelatetothethreemajordesigncomponentsofuserinterfaces,i.e.,dialogue,input,andoutput.Dialoguedesigndeterminesthewayinwhichauserisguidedbythesystemtomakeinputsandinfluencestheamountofcontroltheuserhasoverthedialogue.Thedialogueshouldbedesignedtosupporttheuserinhis/heractualworkwithouttheuserbeingbotheredbyadditionalworkcausedbysystempeculiarities.MenudialoguedesigniscoveredinthispartofISO9241intermsofdesigningthemenustructure,providingfacilitiesformenunavigationanddefiningtheselectionmethodsformenuoptions.Inputdesignisconcernedwithhowusersinputinformationintothesystemusingvariousinputdevices.Menuoptionscanbeselectedbymeansofoneormoreinputdevicessuchasanalphanumerickeyboard,functionkeys,cursorkeys,pointingdevicesandvoice(otherdevicesarenotexcluded)dependingonthetaskathandanddialoguerequirements,aswellasonindividualpreferences.ISO9241-14providesconditionalrecommendationsfortheuseofeachoftheinputdeviceslistedabove.Outputdesignisconcernedwithhowdatashouldbepresentedconsistentlyandperceptiblydistinctonthedisplay.ISO9241-14providesconditionalrecommendationsfortheplacementofoptionsandoptiongroups,thestructureandsyntaxfortextual,graphicandauditoryoptionsandpresentationtechniquestoindicateoptionaccessibilityanddiscrimination.Providinguserswiththecapabilitytoaltertheinterfacetosuittheirownneedshasbecomeapopularapproachtosoftwareinterfacedesign.Thisisoftenadesirablefeatureoftheinterface.However,providinguserswithcustomizationcapabilitiesisnotanacceptablesubstituteforergonomicallydesignedinitialmenus(i.e.,defaultmenus).ItshouldbenotedthatcustomizationofthemenusmayresultindeviationsfromISO9241-14.Therefore,customizationoptionsalsoshouldbeevaluatedwithrespecttotherecommendationsinISO9241-14.
