【摘要】:Particulateemissionsaremajorcontributorstoaircontaminationinindustrialandurbanenvironments.Sootisformedasanunwantedby-productofcombustionandconsequentlyvarieswidelywiththetypeoffuelandcombustionconditions.Carbonblack,ontheotherhand,ispurposelyproducedunderacontrolledsetofconditions.Therefore,itisimportanttobeabletodistinguishcarbonblackfromsoot,aswellasotherenvironmentalcontaminants.1.1ThispracticecoverssamplingandtestingfordistinguishingASTMtypecarbonblack,intheN100toN900series,fromotherenvironmentalparticulates.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformation.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thispracticerequiressomedegreeofexpertiseonthepartofthemicroscopist.Forthisreason,themicroscopistmusthaveadequatetrainingandsubstantialon-the-jobexperienceinidentifyingthemorphologicalparametersofcarbonblack.Insupportofthisanalysis,Donnet'sbookishighlyrecommendedtobeusedasatechnicalreferenceforrecognizingandunderstandingthemicrostructureofcarbonblack.
