【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheprocedureforthephotographicactivityanddyecouplerreactivitytests.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletogeneralphotographicenclosurematerialssuchaspaper,tissue,cardboard,matboardandplastics.Itisalsoapplicabletocomponentsofphotographicenclosurematerialssuchasadhesives,inks,paints,labels,andtape.ThisInternationalStandardevaluatespossiblechemicalinteractionsbetweenenclosureswithprocessedsilver-gelatin,colour(dye-gelatin),inkjetprintsmadewithdye-basedandpigment-basedinks,thermaldyediffusiontransfer(“dyesub”)prints,digitallyprinteddye-diffusion-transferprints,liquid-anddry-tonerxerographicprints,liquid-tonerelectrostaticprints,anddiazoimagesafterlong-termstorage.Itdoesnotpertaintoharmfulphysicalinteractionssuchasblocking(stickingtogether),dyebleed,adhesivemigration,orplasticizerexudation.Itdoesnotpertaintoimportantcriteriaofenclosuressuchastheirinherentchemicalstability,physicalintegrity,andworkmanship.Passingthephotographicactivitytest(PAT)doesnotindicatethatamaterialisarchival.Thistermhasnocleardefinitionandisnotusedinthisstandard.Photo-safe,storageenclosuresandtheircomponentsarecoveredinISO18902,whichincludespassingthecriteriaofthephotographicactivitytest.Ifaparticularbrandofcommerciallymadeenclosurematerialsisfoundtobesafeforlong-termstoragepurposes,thereisnoassurancethatsubsequentbatcheswillcontainthesameingredientsofthesamepurity,chemicalinertness,concentrations,orsoundandsturdyconstruction.Forthisreason,materialsaretestedannuallyoruponeachformulationorsupplierchange.Formaterialswhicharemanufacturedinavarietyofcolours,suchaspapersandinks,eachcolourisevaluatedandreportedseparately.Forenclosuresintendedforusewithanyoftheaboveimagingprocesses,onlytheblack-and-whitePATdescribedinClauses4to7areapplicable.Thedyecouplerreactivitytestisoptionalastheresultsarevalidonlyforthespecificcolourprintproductbeinginvestigated.Differentcolourprintproductscanhavedifferentstainingsensitivities.Forenclosuresintendedforusewithdiazoimages,onlythediazoPATdescribedin8.5isapplicable.
