【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulforprovidingengineeringvaluesforstressanddeflectionanalysisofstonepanels.Itisalsousefulinindicatingthedifferencesinflexuralmodulusofelasticitybetweenvariousdimensionstonesandstonesofthesametypeindifferentloadingdirections(parallelandperpendiculartoriftorbeddingplanes).1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedurefordeterminingtheflexuralmodulusofelasticityofstonebyusingasimplebeamwithquarter-pointloading.1.2Stonetestsmaybemadewithloadappliedperpendiculartothebeddingplaneorriftandwithloadappliedparalleltothebeddingplaneorrift.1.3Stonetestsmaybemadeforwetanddryspecimenconditions.1.4Thespecifierofthetestshalldeterminewhichconditionsshallbeused.1.5Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
